Auction of Aaron Barrios’ Exhibition Paintings Will Benefit Boldrini Hospital

The first exhibition of young artist Aaron Barrios is in full swing at Rabeca Cultural, and two of the works on display will be available through an auction, with all proceeds going to the Centro Infantil Boldrini and the Retreta Project.

This Thursday, April 13, bidding for the auction opens at 10 a.m. Interested parties can pre-register on the auctioneer’s website www.liderleiloes.com.br by clicking on “Cadastre-se” (Register), and then sending an email to assistente@liderleiloes.com.br to gain access to the auction. After the auction ends on April 30 at 4 p.m., donors will receive an email with instructions to make a deposit directly into the accounts of the institutions.

Among the paintings, the one chosen for donation to the Centro Infantil Boldrini is titled “Waterfall”, and the one for the Retreta Project is “The Saxophone.”

According to Aaron’s parents, his artworks have never been put up for sale, despite the high demand, because they want to show their son that he can help others through his art. “The wish to donate a painting to the hospital came after Aaron learned about the care given to children treated there every day. After visiting the facility, he dedicated himself to creating an exclusive canvas full of emotion and awareness in support of these causes,” explains Aaron’s mother, Rose Barrios.

Aaron Barrios is 5 years old. He enjoys music, painting, riding his bike, and playing with toy cars. Since 10 months old, he began making his first marks, and by the age of one and a half, he was already drawing people with defined shapes. At age two, he started playing with tempera paints, and you could already see his ideas taking shape on paper. By three and a half, he moved away from typical forms and began playing with colors—without mixing them—creating interesting shapes that gave him great satisfaction. His parents, noticing their son’s spontaneous talent, supported him by offering a creative environment with all the tools he needed.

At Rabeca Cultural, visitors can view just over twenty of his paintings. Today, Aaron has created over one hundred pieces. The exhibition is open for visitation Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
