An eye is a portal. It is the possibility of traveling through the unknown, that is, through the potential that each person has, but often does not have the opportunity or capacity to explore. Eyes are more than mirrors of souls or gateways to feelings. They are ways of perceiving the world and, above all, of perceiving oneself. Understanding a journey as a metaphorical eye constitutes a recognition of oneself as a mutable being on the journey of existence. Oscar D’Ambrosio
