During the exhibition You, the Art and Me, a very special guest visited the gallery to admire the artwork: the internationally acclaimed artist Alemão Art. Known for his unmistakable style and for infusing his work with joy, Alemão was captivated by the creations of young artist Aaron Barrios, just 6 years old.
Before heading to the gallery, Alemão stopped by Aaron’s studio, where he experienced the boy’s creative space firsthand. He was accompanied by fellow painter Sebastião Mendes, and during the visit, they met Aaron’s parents and explored more of the young artist’s works.
The connection between the artists was instant. In just a few hours, they shared countless ideas and conversations, full of inspiration and mutual admiration.
With paintings displayed even at the Louvre Museum, Alemão Art — who began his journey in graffiti — was able to appreciate the genuine expressionism in Aaron’s paintings. The meeting sparked not only admiration, but the beginning of a promising friendship between the artists.
New collaborative projects may emerge from this encounter, further bridging generations of Brazilian art
